First Snow in Washington!!!

We [enjoyed] our first snowfall in Maple Valley last weekend! The temperatures continued to drop into the low thirties and high twenties and then the rain turned into snow. It turns out that this happens just a couple of times each winter. Sweet!! As you could well imagine, Shalyn is especially excited about it. ;)

I got a new motorcycle helmet. It matches my jumpsuit

It seems the only real function of this blog is to show off our wardrobe changes. Well, it's a worthy purpose, if you ask me. Stay Alive!

Lathum has chided my nonparticipation, so here's what my life looks like right now. (And y'all wonder why I'm losing my mind.)

A proud tradition

Elias is now following a proud tradition of wearing lederhousen to church. Like his father before him, he donned leather shorts, a bib, a pink shirt, boots and grey socks with frill. He felt no threat to his manhood, but Morinda is trying to find a stein sippy cup.

Due to the clear cutting of about 70 acres near our house, we have been overly populated by deer this year. Although our yard is reminiscent of a horse pasture, the babies are cute (see above)

Kids started school today. They're going to Wasatch, across the street from BYU. Here's a pic with Chipotle, who was sad to see them go.

Jj and I went to Park City this weekend for a quick anniversary get away. Took a cool ski lift thing up to the Canyons resort for a jazz concert. Watched Bourne Ultimatum which was gnarly--after we got over the motion sickness camera work. The next morning we shopped for overpriced, home made hippy stuff and watched the belly dancers up at the bizarre on old Main Street.

We recently joined the Worsley clan at the Hidden Springs ranch for a family reunion. The monstrous cabin is located in the ozarks of Utah, just outside Altamont (near Duchesne, which rhymes with "you pain").

Chipotle, El Perro

After a long, patient search, we've found a new Nelson family pup. Jj and the kids picked up Chipotle yesterday at a Salt Lake animalshelter and he already fits right in. The little guy is about 18 months old with the pleasant Terrier 'tude that made us so fond ofTabasco.

Anyway, here's a pic of Chipotle and Ellie on Jj's I Can't Believe It's Not Butter-yellow sofa. Had a pic of C5-Ice and the dog, but can't find it. Instead, I'm sending a photo of one of the five owls that inhabit our backyard.

Note: today's our 12th wedding anniversary. What precious metal is that? Adamantium?
